Count All Kids - 2020 Census

Introduction

The Count All Kids Committee created this campaign to ensure parents/caregivers count all young kids and babies in the 2020 Census. The following resource center is for partners and affiliates to share messaging materials, collateral, and social assets to help you educate and motivate parents, caregivers, and heads of households to count all kids.

Message research identified the top reasons parents and caregivers might not include young children in their Census responses. Campaign messages and social assets are divided into three phases to address each barrier.

  1. Value-based messages - address unfamiliarity with how the Census can help families and small children
  2. General awareness messages - address a lack of understanding about the Census and who to include in the household
  3. Pain points messages - address personal fears related to immigration status and overcrowded housing situations

If you have questions about these materials, please contact Debbie Stein at dstein@foramericaschildren.org.

Thank you for helping make sure all children five and under are counted in the next Census.
