On October 24, schools and child care centres across the province will be using provincial classroom prevention resources to help them acquire skills that lessen their vulnerability to harm. Evidence shows that identifying support networks can help children and youth stay safe. Reasons why children and youth may need an adult to step in include neglect, physical and sexual abuse, and emotional abuse, including racism, intolerance, and prejudice.
