The unprecedented social and economic crisis triggered by #COVID19 will greatly impact the health and well-being of young children in low- and middle-income countries (#LMICs). The estimates we have today predict 6.7 million additional children will be wasted and 130K additional child deaths will occur due to wasting and reduced health services caused by COVID-19. And this is only the tip of the iceberg, as stunting, micronutrient deficiencies, and overweight are each expected to rise as a result.
