Advocate2Vaccinate (A2V) is [email protected]'s national call to action throughout the month of April, leading up to World Immunization Week from April 24-30 2017. It is a critical time to advocate for global childhood immunization programs and educate our legislators on why we should end vaccine-preventable childhood deaths. Throughout April, we are challenging our Champions to take as many advocacy actions as possible, report them on the Community, and earn points on their profile! This #GivingTuesday, [email protected] is taking on measles – one of the leading causes of death among young children even though a safe and cost-effective vaccine is available. Between 2000 and 2015, the measles vaccination resulted in a 79% drop in measles deaths. Let’s continue the progress this #GivingTuesday, as we aim to get more vaccines to children around the world. [email protected], in collaboration with Pfizer, developed the 12 Days of Impact campaign to raise awareness for global childhood pneumococcal immunizations. The campaign consists of twelve separate posts, one to be shared each day leading up to World Pneumonia Day (November 12). The posts include a Pfizer interview and multimedia collateral, posts from various vaccine advocates around the world, and call-to-action messages for [email protected] Champions and everyday citizens.
