BACKGROUND
data.org, the Patrick J. McGovern Foundation (PJMF), and Dalberg are proud to present Workforce Wanted: Data Talent for Social Impact, a first-of-its-kind report on global data talent in the social sector. Confronting systemic challenges and highlighting both immediate and big-picture opportunities, this report delivers the current landscape and reveals four pathways forward for building purpose-driven data professionals. With the values of inclusivity, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) core to this work, Workforce Wanted identifies an opportunity to shape and support a pool of 3.5 million data professionals focused on social impact in low- and middle-income countries (LMICs) over the next ten years.
DATA.ORG CAMPAIGN & OBJECTIVE
Workforce Wanted: Data Talent for Social Impact will launch on Wednesday, June 15 at 10:00 am ET. The social campaign’s main objective is to amplify the report’s key findings and reach and engage a vast network in the four pathways to building data talent across the globe.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
As part of this public rollout, we invite you to join us in sharing the social cards with the hashtags #DataDrivesImpact, #DataTalent, and #WorkforceWanteReport along with the proposed accompanying copy on your personal or institutional social media platforms. Below are suggested social media posts and accompanying social graphics. This tool kit contains sample copy to use for social media posts, as well as relevant handles. Please feel free to edit as works best for your organizations or individual voice.
